CycleCal is designed with your privacy as the highest priority. Your health data is deeply personal and should never be shared, sold, or used for anything beyond helping you track your cycle.
CycleCal stores all your information locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage. This includes:
We never upload or sync your cycle data to our servers. There are no CycleCal servers holding your data.
The following integrations are optional and only run when you enable them. You can disable any of them at any time in Settings.
When you enable calendar sync, CycleCal creates cycle phase events directly on your device's calendar. For Google Calendar, authentication uses Google's standard OAuth flow. We never see the contents of your calendar.
When enabled, CycleCal reads sleep, heart rate, exercise, and cycle data from Apple Health. Data is used only to generate insights shown to you in the app. It is never transmitted to our servers. We never write cycle data back to Apple Health unless you explicitly enable that.
Smart Insights and Personalized Profile features use Anthropic's Claude API. When you invoke these features:
When you add partner contacts and enable notifications, CycleCal sends emails via Resend (resend.com). Only the partner's email address and the generated message are transmitted. We don't store these messages after delivery.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your anonymous App Store transaction identifier to verify your subscription status. They do not receive any cycle or health data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
CycleCal is a wellness tracking tool, not a medical device. Cycle predictions are estimates based on your input. Do not use CycleCal for contraception, pregnancy prevention, or to diagnose or treat any medical condition. Always consult a healthcare provider for medical concerns.
CycleCal is rated 12+ and intended for people who menstruate. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used CycleCal, please contact us.
Because your data is stored on your device, security depends on your device. We recommend enabling Face ID / Touch ID / a strong passcode, keeping iOS up to date, and being thoughtful about iCloud Backup (if enabled, your CycleCal data is included in your encrypted iCloud backup under Apple's security model).
Because we don't store your data on servers, there's nothing for us to export, delete, or share on your behalf. You have complete control.
We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
